The key to our low cost is the exchange rate we offer. When you transfer funds, you are selling one currency and buying another. Currency dealers mark up the exchange rate by adding a spread: this is the difference between the price at which you can sell your primary currency and what you have to pay to buy the delivery currency.
FXGlobalTransfer spreads are tight because our trading system is completely automated, there is no middleman, and we pay no commissions to sales people or traders.

- Wire funds (in your primary currency) from your financial institution to OANDA
- We will confirm your deposit by email and let you know you are ready to make a transfer
3. Log in to FXGlobalTransfer
- Add one or more recipients (by name, contact info & bank account info)
- Set up the transfer
- Select your recipient, your delivery currency, and the amount of your delivery currency
- You will immediately see the total cost of your transfer in your primary currency (exchange rate plus flat fee, both of which are shown)
- Transfer the funds

Once you have opened your account, log in to our Cash Management System for information about wiring funds.
You must fund your account in one of the following currencies:
- Euros
- U.S. dollars
- British pounds
- Swiss francs
- Canadian dollars
- Australian dollars
- Japanese yen
You may transfer only the funds you deposited by wire into your account. And you must have sufficient funds in your account to cover the total cost of your transfer.
